2 Timothy is the Apostle Paul’s final letter, written from a Roman prison around AD 67, shortly before his death. It’s a deeply personal and urgent message to his protégé Timothy, urging him to stay strong in faith, endure suffering, and boldly preach the gospel despite rising persecution. Paul reflects on his own life and ministry, declaring, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith” (2 Timothy 4:7) . The letter is both a farewell and a call to courage, faithfulness, and perseverance in the face of hardship.
