DISASTER RELIEF

Hurricane Helene Relief Efforts

Our hearts are heavy for all those affected by the devastation of Hurricane Helene. Our church will continue to support our neighbors in Western North Carolina. Below are several ways you can join us in these efforts to care for our community during this difficult time.

GIVE

We’ve been asked several times how you can give monetarily to help the efforts in the western part of the state. We have a Disaster Relief Fund available through our online giving portal, PushPay. You can select this option from the dropdown menu when giving online.  You can also donate to Baptists on Mission, where 100% of donations go to Hurricane Helene disaster relief efforts.

SERVE

There is a great need for volunteer teams to go to Western NC to help in distribution centers,  serving meals, beginning the clean up process, chain saw work, etc. If you are interested in going on one of our trips, please email Olivia at obaumann@apexbaptist.org.

PRAY

One of the most powerful things you can do is PRAY.  Here are some specific things you can be praying for right now.
  1.  Pray for peace for those who have lost loved ones and homes in the flood.
  2. Pray for disaster response volunteers who are serving.
  3. Ask God how he can use you and your church to serve those affected.

Thank you for partnering with us to love our neighbors during this difficult time.

“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging…The Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress.” — Psalm 46: 1-3, 7
