Love Your Neighbor

In the Parable of The Good Samaritan, Jesus confronts a Teacher of the Law who is seeking to justify himself from loving neighbor. Jesus undercuts him by responding with a story of a Samaritan, an enemy of the Jews, showing lavish love to a hurting Jewish man. Jesus is turning the question of the teacher around pointing out our questions should not be, “who is my neighbor?” but instead, “who acts like a neighbor?” Jesus wants the hearers to know what real mercy is and then go and do likewise.
Luke 10:19-25
1) Who inherits Eternal Life (V. 25-28)
2) Who is my neighbor? (V. 29 – 35)
3) Are you a neighbor? (V. 36-37)
